Music as remembrance — sound as ceremony

The Artist

Sound as ceremony, music as remembrance

Born in Rio de Janeiro and classically trained through the conservatories of Europe and Berklee College of Music, Andrei Matorin performed at Carnegie Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center, and MoMA before turning his attention inward — toward vulnerability, improvisation, and a daily practice of yoga, meditation, and ancient indigenous tradition. Now based in Mexico City, he works across immersive sound experiences, live performance, and private ceremony — all designed to create the conditions for people to feel what they don't ordinarily allow themselves to feel. Audiences regularly describe his performances as among the most significant musical experiences of their lives.

The Offerings

Three ways into the work

The Hybrid DJ Set

i

The Hybrid DJ Set

Electronic music built for ecstatic dance and somatic release — approached with the same seriousness as the ceremonial work. Original productions woven live with violin and voice, opening in stillness and building toward something the body recognizes before the mind finds a word for it. For festivals, gatherings, and nights that ask to become more than a party.

The Transformational Concert

ii

The Transformational Concert

A seated journey that moves like a ritual — building from stillness through tension and release toward something the body recognizes before the mind finds the word for it. Part composition, part the magic that only emerges in the room, each performance becomes its own arc, its own unrepeatable shape. People leave having processed grief, released what they'd been holding, or touched a presence they hadn't felt in years.

The Ceremony

iii

The Ceremony

The deepest and most intimate of the work. A facilitated ritual held in sound — shadow and light, discomfort and release — drawing on years of inner work through yoga, meditation, and the pre-Hispanic tradition of the Camino Rojo. Offered for groups or one-on-one, with intention and care. This is transformation, not relaxation.
