New YouTube Channel March 17th, 2012

In my endless search for new ways to express and divulge my artistic ideas I recently decided to start a new YouTube channel. My goal is to have a single location where friends and fans can find new music regularly. Now that I acquired a new camera and lens to shoot beautiful movies on, I am hoping that I will be more motivated to keep the page updated daily. The new channel is “MatorinMusic”. There you will find a new candid improvisation every day, in addition to Vlog posts, and more polished music videos and creations for your emotional and spiritual enjoyment.

We live in a visual world, and I decided it was time that I take a step forward and embrace the fact in the way I envision my music. I know the feedback I have had so far from the “Opus” promotional video has been amazing and have come to realize that the music can speak more directly and universally to people when accompanied by visuals.

TRR Deal Closed and OPUS Re-Released March 1st, 2012

Today marks the official beginning of my partnership with Truth Revolution Records. We finally closed a record deal just in time for my official re-release of my album “Opus” on the label. I’m very excited to be working with this fresh, new label and am looking forward to growing with them. The next step is booking shows in support of the album. We’ll be looking at booking shows here on the east coast as well as Internatinally (Brazil, France, Italy, England…) . If you know of any venues where my music would be well-received we would appreciate any contacts you may have for us to follow-up with. This is a new beginning. Stay tuned for great things to come!

Opus Re-Release Date Announced February 14th, 2012

Record Deal Imminent January 25th, 2012

We are close to reaching a deal between Truth Revolution Records and myself to re-release my debut album “OPUS”. In addition, I will be recording a new album for early 2013 release. Founded by brothers Zaccai and Luques Curtis, Truth Revolution Records is an independent label created to place music and artistic expression first. I am excited to becoming a member of the family and to be involved with a group whose mission I truly believe in. Currently, we are putting the finishing touches on the agreement, so stay tuned. There should be lots of more information soon!

Paquito D’Rivera and Friends @ Lincoln Harbor June 13th, 2011

The Summer Concerts on the Hudson music series in Lincoln Harbor Park inWeehawken continues with a show featuring Latin jazz star and six-time Grammy award winner Paquito D’Rivera.

The North Bergen resident will play with other jazz musicians like Grammy winning pianist and composer Fernando Otero, violinist Andrei Matorin and jazz harpist Edmar Castaneda. (Read More…)
