Editing Promotional Video/Interview for Re-Release of OPUS

In conjunction with my re-release of OPUS on Truth Revolution Records we’ve been putting together a bunch of promotional materials for the February 28th release date.  I’ve been working harding on editing the interview and it’s looking really great.  Can’t wait to share it with all of you.

We recorded the interview at Musiq Haus Studio and then shot a bunch of clips outdoors in NYC with the help of my friend Nikita Umnov.  There’s still a few shots I think I’m missing, and I would like to talk about a couple more things which we didn’t capture in the original session. But in any case, the video should be ready in the next week or so!

Paquito D’Rivera and Friends

What an amazing time performing with the Paquito D’Rivera Quintet yesterday! Featured on the gig were myself, Fernando Otero, and Edmar Castaneda. In addition to performing with the Quintet, Paquito also asked me to perform Fernando’s suite of three pieces for piano and violin. You can watch a clip from the duet on my Videos Page.

Overall, we all had a great time.  I look forward to collaborating with Paquito more as he’s asked me to help him put together a new project… An acoustic septet. Stay tuned for more information!
